If you suspect that your license plate was stolen, report it immediately to the police in Landesbetrieb Verkehr (LBV). In the event of a pure loss, you must submit an affidavit (declaration under oath) to the registration office. Driving without plates is strictly prohibited.
To be allocated a new license plate (re-registration), you must appear in person at the registration office in Landesbetrieb Verkehr (LBV). Your previous custom plate will be blocked for 10 years for security reasons. You will receive a new combination and new documents.
